Wendy’s Sauces

There is something very special about Wendy’s sauces people love so much. Besides the fact that Wendy’s serves fresh and high-quality fast food, they also pay special attention to their sauces and tend to refresh the menu quite often.

Sauces seem to be inseparable parts of fast food. People love to have them with hamburgers, finger foods, grilled chicken, sandwiches, fries, veggies, and baked foods. If you too want to discover Wendy’s sauces then stay with us.

Wendy’s menu offers several types of sauces including dipping, dousing, drizzling, and dunking. They all taste delicious and complete a vast variety of fast food.

Wendy’s Dipping Sauces

Wendy’s has updated its menu items over time including sauces. Currently, it offers the following 6 types of dipping sauces: Barbecue, Honey Mustard, Ghost Pepper Ranch, Buttermilk Ranch, Sweet & Sour, and Hot Honey Sauce. Some of them have become the favorite of the majority of Wendy’s customers. Let’s discuss each in detail.

1. Barbecue Sauce

Barbecue is a sweet sauce with a smoky touch. It tastes a bit sweet and goes well with almost any fast food. It always comes with a bunch of bold flavors that complement chicken, ham, fries, sausages, patties, and many more.

2. Honey Mustard Sauce

Made of sweet honey and tangy-pungent mustard, Honey Mustard sauce is flavored with rich and smoky spices. This sauce is a popular one among other fast food restaurants but we should admit that its ratios require special attention.

Wendy’s honey mustard is truly one of the best combinations of flavors you’ll find on their menu. It’s neither too sweet nor too tangy. It’s just well-balanced and tasty.

3. Buttermilk Ranch Sauce

As for buttermilk ranch, it’s rather on the milder side than hot or tangy. This sauce

is creamy, savory, and a bit tangy at the same time. It comes with a diluted and milky texture.

According to Wendy’s customers, buttermilk ranch is probably one of the poorest sauces in taste and flavor. However, you’ll like the buttermilk ranch if you prefer dairy-based sauces with chicken nuggets.

4. Ghost Pepper Ranch

Before the Ghost Pepper Ranch, Creamy Sriracha was the hottest sauce on Wendy’s menu. Now, it seems as if Creamy Sriracha had to yield its place to the ghost pepper ranch as we don’t see it on the Wendy’s updated menu.

Anyway, if you prefer hotter sauces then Ghost Pepper will be your favorite from this list. It’s similar to buttermilk ranch and creamy sriracha but it’s way spicier. This creamy sauce comes with 107 times hotter spiciness compared to the hotness of entry-level jalapeños.

You may not immediately feel its hotness from the first bite, but it’ll become hotter and hotter in your mouth as you eat it. So, be careful.

5. Sweet & Sour Sauce

Sweet and sour is an Asian-inspired sauce with a sweet, fruity, and tangy combination of flavors.

It’s thick and has a transparent orange color. It comes with a jelly-like consistency and tastes kind of sweet-to-tangy with slightly fruity notes. So, if you are after Asian-inspired sauces, then try Wendy’s sweet and sour sauce with nuggets.

6. Hot Honey Sauce

Another hot sauce is the well-known hot honey sauce. Its spiciness is balanced with the sweetness of honey.  Made of habanero peppers and real honey, Hot Honey sauce tastes both sweet and hot with a warm aftertaste.

You can taste it with the majority of savory foods from Wendy’s menu including chicken, sandwiches, breakfast sausages, and the like. It’s neither too hot nor too sweet.

Will Wendys bring back the Side of S’Awesome and Sriracha?

The Side of S’Awesome and Creamy Sriracha used to be Wendy’s most requested sauces. Lately, Wendy’s has removed them from its menu. Instead, it has brought hot honey and ghost pepper.

To the question of whether they’ll bring back those two sauces, Wendy’s administration team has answered that they may consider bringing back fan favorites including the Side of S’Awesome and Sriracha.
